Broadband Service Improvements for Sudbury, Sudbury East and West Nipissing

This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks to establish the successful vendor (s) to upgrade broadband infrastructure and services to the unserved/underserved areas in Sudbury, Sudbury East and West Nipissing. Specifically, The City of Greater Sudbury, The Town of Killarney, The Municipality of French River, The Municipality of St. Charles, The Municipality of Markstay-Warren, Nipissing First Nation, Dokis First Nation, Atikameksheng Anishnawbek (Whitefish Lake First Nation), Wahnapitei First Nation and a portion of Sudbury, Unorganized, North Part that is contained within the boundaries of The City of Greater Sudbury, Atikameksheng Anishnawbek, The Town of Killarney, The Municipality of French River, The Municipality of St. Charles and The Municipality of Markstay-Warren.

Blue Sky Net is a regional technology development organization, part of Blue Sky Economic Growth Corporation, contracted by FedNor, the Northern Ontario regional development organization for the Government of Canada. BSN’s goal is to enhance Broadband connectivity, awareness and applications in the Districts of Nipissing, District of Parry Sound, Sudbury East and Manitoulin Island. For the purposes of this RFP Blue Sky Net has received (or is in the process of gathering)  resolutions of support from the above noted municipalities and First Nations.

Vendor (s) have the sole responsibility to register their intention to bid to ensure they receive any addendum or notifications regarding this RFP. Although not a requirement, interested parties are asked to register this intent on or before Feb 10th, 2020. A softcopy of the complete bid submission must be submitted no later than 11:59 P.M. local time, Feb 24th 2020. Submissions received after this date will not be accepted. Vendors may elect to submit hardcopy proposals or additional information to the address below. 

Interested parties are asked to email jeff.buell@blueskynet.ca with the subject line “ITB- Broadband Service Improvements for Sudbury, Sudbury East and West Nipissing”  prior to the RFP submission deadline to register intent to bid and receive a copy of the RFP documents.

This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks to establish the successful vendor (s) to upgrade broadband infrastructure and services to the unserved/underserved communities in the Almaguin Highlands and northwest Parry Sound. Specifically, the Township of Armour, the Village of Burk’s Falls, the Township of Joly, the Town of Kearney, the Township of Machar, the Municipality of Magnetawan, the Township of McMurrich/Monteith, the Township of Perry, the Township of Ryerson, the Village of South River, the Township of Strong, the Village of Sundridge, Magnetewan First Nation, Henvey Inlet First Nation and the Unorganized Townships of Laurier, Lount, Patterson, Pringle, Hardy, East Mills, McConkey, Wilson, Blair, Brown, Mowat, Walbridge, Henvey and Harrison .

Broadband Service Improvements South and East of North Bay RFP

This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks to establish the successful vendor (s) to upgrade broadband infrastructure and services to the unserved/underserved communities immediately south, east of, and including the City of North Bay. Specifically, the Municipality of Callander, Township of Nipissing, Municipality of Powassan, Township of Chisholm, The Municipality of East Ferris, the Township of Bonfield, The Municipality of Calvin, the Township of Papineau-Cameron, The Town of Mattawa, the Township of Mattawan, Antoine First Nation and areas within the unorganized townships of Olrig, Butler, Phelps and Antoine.

Blue Sky Net is a Regional Technology Development Organization part of Blue Sky Economic Growth Corporation, contracted by FedNor, the Northern Ontario regional development organization of Industry Canada, to enhance Broadband connectivity, awareness and applications in the Districts of Nipissing. District of Parry Sound Sudbury East and Manitoulin Island. For the purposes of this RFP Blue Sky Net has received resolutions of support from the above noted municipalities and First Nations.
