GIS Software and Implementation Services for the Manitoulin Planning Board
and Nine Municipalities in the District of Manitoulin

This
Request for Proposal seeks to establish the successful vendor(s) to supply a
Geographic Information System
(GIS)
and
related implementation services for the Manitoulin Planning Board, 9
Municipalities and 2 Unincorporated Townships located in the District of
Manitoulin.
Under the auspices of Blue Sky Economic Growth Corporation, Blue Sky Net is
a Regional Technology Development Organization contracted by FedNor , the
Northern Ontario regional development organization of Industry Canada, to
enhance Broadband connectivity, awareness and applications in the Districts
of Nipissing, Parry Sound, Sudbury, and Manitoulin.
The
Manitoulin Planning Board, representing the Unorganized Townships of
Robinson and Dawson and the member municipalities of Assiginack, Billings
and Allan East, Burpee and Mills, Central Manitoulin, Cockburn Island,
Gordon/Barrie Island, Tehkummah, Gore Bay and Northeastern Manitoulin and
the Islands, are interested
in securing the services of a
qualified firm(s) with proven municipal GIS development and implementation
experience, preferably in a rural environment, to provide data gathering,
software and implementation services.

This
Request for Proposal seeks to establish the successful vendor to conduct a
roads needs study for nine municipalities which will be used in the
implementation of a Geographic Information System and for public works
planning purposes.
Blue Sky Net
and the member municipalities in the Blue Sky Municipal GIS Partnership are
interested in securing
the services of a qualified engineering firm to conduct this asset
management plan
which will clearly define the
road systems and at the same time identify physical deficiencies in the road
system with associated costs for improvements.

Strategic Plan for all Municipalities and Unincorporated Townships-
Manitoulin Island (CLOSED) |
Abstract: This Request
for Proposal seeks to establish the successful vendor to develop a strategic
plan for the implementation of a Geographic Information System for 11
Municipalities located in the District of Manitoulin.
The Manitoulin Planning Board is the
delegated authority for applications under the Planning Act for the
Manitoulin Planning Area. The
Manitoulin Planning Board is comprised of
one (1) member appointed by each Council, nine (9), plus two (2) members,
appointed by the Province, representing the Unorganized/Unincorporated
townships, resulting in a total of eleven (11) Members.
The member municipalities are: Townships of Assiginack (including the
Townsite of Manitowaning), Gordon/Barrie Island, Billings and Allan East,
Burpee and Mills, Central Manitoulin,
Cockburn Island, and Tehkummah and the Towns of Gore Bay and Northeastern
Manitoulin and the Islands and the
Unorganized Townships of Dawson and Robinson.
The Manitoulin Planning Board and member
municipalities are interested in securing the services of a qualified
consulting firm with proven municipal Geographic Information System (GIS)
development and implementation experience, preferably in a rural
environment, to complete a detailed municipal
GIS strategic plan.

Request for Quotation seeks to establish the successful vendor(s) to supply
equipment required for the implementation of a Geographic Information System
for 16 Municipalities located in the Districts of Nipissing and Parry
Sound.
Blue
Sky Net is a Regional Technology Development Organization contracted by
FedNor , the Northern Ontario regional development organization of Industry
Canada, to enhance Broadband connectivity, awareness and applications in the
Districts of Nipissing, Parry Sound, Sudbury, Manitoulin, Algoma and the
township of Muskoka Lakes.
Blue Sky Net and member municipalities are
interested in securing Laptops, Desktop PCs, Wide Body Scanners, Printers,
maintenance services and related supplies to be used in local municipal
offices for the implementation of a regional GIS.
Vendors may submit bids for all required
equipment or only selected items.
