With the advent of ka-band and ku-band satellite services however, remote or rural businesses and organizations now have a viable option to dial-up internet. FedNor has therefore introduced the Satellite Internet for Remote Areas Program (SIRA) to help Northern Ontario’s business community secure cost-effective high-speed internet access.
